New Music Friday: Cyrille Aimée, Grace Kelly, Norah Jones

Norah Jones / Visions / Blue Note
Norah Jones / Blue Note
The Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist returns to the scene with her 9th album, Visions.

Cyrille Aimée, à Fleur de Peau (Whirlwind)

Cyrille Aimee’s new album is a strong departure from the smoke-filled jazz clubs as the french born vocalist ventures into R&B on her new album Fluer de Peau. Along with producer Jake Sherman, the album’s a seamless mix of crisp R&B production and acoustics, layered with deep, personal lyrics of love and longing.

Grace Kelly, Grace Kelly With Strings: At the Movies (PAZZ)

Grace Kelly jumps into the cinematic universe, her tenor saxophone the lead, on her new album With Strings: At the Movies. Kelly’s 15th album and first Jazz album since 2016, is a nod to Charlie Parker's With Strings. Plenty of popcorn for this sweet album featuring classic themes from movies James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, a straight ahead version of The way you look tonight, and more.

Norah Jones, Visions (Blue Note)

The Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist returns to the scene with her 9th album, Visions. Unlike her last album released in 2020, Pick Me Up Off The Floor, Visions captures the songstress in a hopeful mood.
